About the Competition

SCHEDULE AND FAQS FOR BACON ’21:

Friday: Doors open 7:45a, Competition 9a-5p Podium 530

Saturday: Doors open 6:45a, Competition 8a-7p

Sunday: Beach Start 7a, doors open 7:15a, Comp 815a-430p

Sunday Podiums: 11a (Adaptive) 5p (Able)

COVID RESTRICTIONS: There will be NO social distancing or mask requirements at this year’s Bacon Beatdown.

Spectators: All non-athletes are spectators and will need a spectator band. They are sold online OR at the door (price won’t change).

Athletes as Spectators: If you are an athlete, your athlete band will get you in for free all weekend, even on your non-competition days — simply check in and keep your athlete band on all weekend.

Parking: There is ample parking around the venue. Surface lots are available as well as a garage, $10/day. This is the city’s charge, not ours.

Pets: No Pets (venue policy) sorry!

No Outside Alcohol, No Tents. You can bring a cooler (they will search it, though, so don’t get sneaky).

This event is mostly indoor, however most athletes will be participating in one event that takes place outdoors.

All listed weights are working weights. Standards are close approximations of the weights for the programmed workouts. If you can do the gymnastic movements and do multiple reps of at least quick singles in a workout at the given weights, you will have fun in that division. THESE STANDARDS ARE UPDATED FOR 2021!

The men’s division is on the Rx standard. The women are on the Intermediate standard. We do this because we have historically been unable to get more than a few registrations in Women’s Masters(40+) with Rx standards.

*Note: If you are 40+ and cannot complete these standards, you may compete in another division (Beginner, Intermediate, etc) You do not HAVE to be in Masters.
